Palmer Place in La Grange

Everyone always tell you they know the best place for burgers but if that isn't Palmer Place then they are lying! I've been going to Palmer Place for more then twenty years and the quality of the food has never dipped. Highly recommend if you're looking for a spot to watch the game or have a meal with your family. Palmer Place is one of my favorite restaurants!

This restaurant is the one I always prefer. I go to many restaurants but to this place I constantly return again and again. The stuff is very cordial and the cooking they cook is so yummy. I am always happy to have a decent meal here. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Poor service, expensive, and zero atmosphere. Surprised they can stay open. Will not be back.

Such an awesome space. Has variety...Front area is cozy and warm restraunt feel, back area is sports bar feel. Best BLT. Service is good. Outdoor garden looks awesome but a little cold right now.

Great beer selection, and nice patio dining. The food is normally great but the last 2 times it was not. Burger was cooked very well when i asked for medium rare. The cheesestix were cold. Last time i was there they had no potato skins or cheesestix. Also this time our waitress was terrible. Took forever, and no its not because she was busy. Never came back and asked us if we needed anything after we got our food. Not a drink, napkins or anything.

Lovely place to sit outside. Even in pre-Covid days. Only have RC products which is unusual but yummy food.

Really like this place. Plenty of beer options, mixed drinks are good and the food is really good too. Patio seating is great too. I love a nice evening on the patio with a good drink and delicious food.

Great place; come for the marvelous food and stay for the comfort. Great place to have a conversation while enjoying terrific burgers, salads, appetizers, big glasses of soda, fresh brewed tea, yes they have liquor as well. The ribs were also good.

Most of the time I love going here! Great beer choices, fun establishment. Sometimes they have live music. During this quarantine and the slow opening of restaurants, this place is great to go sit outside. During good weather, it's great to be on the rooftop. Was just there on Wednesday afternoon. Didn't want to leave. The wait staff was unbelievably attentive, respectful and made me want to stay longer. Would recommend Palmer Place all the time.

Great experience - our server Jane was most accomodating, given current covid restrictions. Our salads were excellent, service above and beyond. Definite "Yes"!

My husband and I love the "Waldorf salad". We hadn't been there for about a year and were in the neighborhood so we stopped. We split a salad, a delicious steak sandwich and yummy potato skins. I don't think we will have that long of a wait for our next visit!

This spot offers wonderful service and yummy food. One of my favourite restaurants around here. The food and drinks arrived rapidly and the rates were fair. Highly recommended.

Don't order the Ahi Tuna Tuna Fillet Ceasar! We ordered this and it was dry and rubbery. We complained and were given another Ahi Tuna Fillet that was cooked identically to the first; terrible, dry, thoroughly over cooked to the point it was like rubber. My cat loved, though! Stick to the Burgers, pretty decent burgers.

Great place to get a burger and sit outdoors... and if you like and drink beer - you will definitely find something you're gonna like... sitting outdoors is fun, either in the patio or on the roof...

Went last week during our lunch break. It took 45 minutes to get our Cesar Salads. So we had to ask for our food to go. Don't get me wrong, The food is good. The manager seemed a bit entitled. Overall it might be worth another try. I do suggest you go when you have at least 2 hours available to eat.

last night was our first time we came to that magnificent restaurant. But It is absolutely not the last. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the excellent service, with the magnificent cuisine and fine drinks and with the decent payment. We will no doubt go back there again.

Great food and ambience outside upper patio and lower patio great to sit out there on a nice day with the smell of barbecue and Great food

Good food and a great beer garden. It also has a roof garden that is open in the evening. Quality of staff varies considerably, hence 4 rather than 5 stars.

Went to dinner at Palmer Place last night with my daughter. Our server, Jane, was amazing! She was so genuinely friendly and got us exactly what we wanted. The food was amazing and we will absolutely come back soon!

Friendly bar in downtown la grange. Patio on the back with 2 floors. Nice spot for few drinks with friends. The food is okay.

Great local place. Large beer garden. Great beer selection. Has some of the best french onion soup. Very cheesy and beefy. Also good selection of burgers.

Palmer's is a solid outing. They have consistently great food and beer selection. It is family friendly if you want to bring children. In the summer they have a patio and an amazing roof top seating area. The appetizers are AWESOME (fried green beans and the fried cheese cubes are my personal favorites). The service is mostly excellent (nobody's perfect) and this place is a staple for me.

We have always found Palmer's to be a fun, casual spot with solid food. However, we decided to stop in for a mid-week dinner and sadly I have report that we were a bit disenchanted by our food. I had the steak salad and my friend the shrimp dinner. It was just ok, nothing to write home about which is sad since I have dined here many times and Palmer's always seemed to bring the standard pub grub up a notch. I don't know, maybe it was a bad night, but that experience changed my mind on my go to place.

Amazing portion sizes, and great quality food. Service was very prompt and friendly. Prices were on par with what they should be. Huge selection of brew for people who are about that life.

Extremely slow service. "Seared tuna" looks like a frozen porkchop that was microwaved. Burgers are fine. Waitress does not enjoy her job and was not friendly. Decent beer menu, but they take about half an hour to show up. Not sure there's any reason to return. Way better places to go in La Grange.

Today was my second time visiting Palmer place. The first time I came the food was good service ok. Not bad not good. Today I returned, (I have friends who often come and rave about the place ) I will never return again. It was my first time eating out in months with my family and the service was terrible. The waitress was so rude, she put her full thumb in my husbands burger, never checked on us, brought me the wrong food and my son the wrong drink after we repeated our orders to her and she repeated them back to us. It was ridiculous. We never got napkins never got refills until we asked at the end of our meal. Never going again. If I could give zero stars I would.

Very good burger! Super messy I think this was the ultimate gourmet burger? It wasnt worth the price to get it again you'd never know it was Kobe beef however the flavor was there. The fries were good I'd try something else next time save myself some money and just buy another beer! But I'm a fan so I'm going come back.

Not sure how they can brag best corned beef in the city. It had no taste,, the bread was gummy, the fries were sad. We had to pilfer other tables for condiments. Nice patio. Too much competition for such boring food.

Best beer garden/deck around, bar none. No better place for the holiday weekend.

We really enjoy Palmer’s. Their burgers are always perfectly cooked and they have an awesome selection. For the first time ever, we had dessert - carrot cake! This was on the house for an order that wasn’t cooked well, which they took off of the bill too. That was unexpected and really nice of them to do for us! Recommend their Berlin burger, steak sandwich, and any of the beers they have on tap. Yum!
